PneuGel® Brand Products and Components

Sroufe Healthcare Products developed and patented the bi-component PneuGel® technology for products in the healthcare industry. PneuGel products are designed to facilitate patient healing and comfort following injury or surgery with cold compression therapy.

All of the PneuGel brand items feature Sroufe’s bi-component technology, which includes a removable plastic bladder containing a gel chamber backed by an air chamber. Unlike similar products on the market, Sroufe’s PneuGel technology allows variable amounts of air to be pumped into the bladder, depending on the patient’s comfort level or compression requirements. Similar to a basketball air valve, the valve automatically closes once the pump is removed, trapping the air inside the bladder. In addition, the gel bladder is removable and may be placed in the freezer to be used as a cold therapy device.
